Duckbill Style Spoiler Install

I just received my new duckbill style spoiler and am preparing to install it.

My car was ceramic coated 2 yrs ago and from what I've read/heard is that the 3m tape won't adhere well to the coating.

Any suggestions on how to make sure the ceramic is properly removed before install or with it being 2 yrs old already is it probably naturally degraded enough to just install as is?

You could try using some coating removing products like Gyeon total remover on the parts are the spoiler would go. Normally to remove coating you can polish the coated area to remove the coating, hope that helps

I put mine over my ceramic with 3m automotive command tape, no issues. Yes, it holds up fine at 160+ ?

The 3M tapes of today don't really care what they are attached to, they stick like mad.
You should have no problem attaching to your ceramic. Besides, I'd rather have the ceramic coating under the duckbill since you will not be seeing that paint for awhile.?

I used 3M 03616 and it holds with 0 issue or lifting. My car is coated with Carpro Gliss which is super slick but have had no issues with adhesion.

Glad to hear of more people installing right over their coating.
I was not looking forward to trying to remove it and not somehow mess my paint up, cause that would have been my luck.

Will just clean the area and install right on.
