BabaYaga always starts in M2 and immediately pops it into drive. That's why he always gets an instant jump. I know the first guy started in 3rd.

Thats exactly what I do from 40.... the other car in the video was in 3rd. The bottom of 3rd at that

Interesting.. what’s rationale for this? I figured 3rd gear at 40 would put you in that peak torque rpm range
from my testing, it bogs at the bottom of 3rd, if you do 46-55, its ideal To start 3rd. 2nd@40 puts the car about 5k and with traction* literally pounces forward,....I think in sport mode it shift at 7200 rpm... what happened in that Video is exactly what its like when 2 Supras race from 40... one in 3rd and the other in 2nd.

If you mean short shifting during cursing in comfort mode then yes, and its very annoying since it will shift into 7th and 8th gear way earlier than anticipated/wanted.
Happens with my BM3 tune, a friend whos tuned through Autotuner too

Looks like most tuning platforms are affected by this.. Very weird since TCU is left untouched

I actually love the logic the trans uses in comfort mode. Between that and stop/start I know the car is eeking out every possible mpg which means more fuel to have fun with.

i hate the logic, ill be doing 40 in 8th gear. I could care less about mpg in anyway, shape, form or fashion, if they could make a happy medium between sport and comfort, I think most would appreciate that

Haha. It’s like 17 bucks to fill up the tank with 93 here in TX now. I keep it sport mode 100% of the time. If I want to just point a to point b drive, I’ll take the 4Runner ($21 to fill that up with 87).

A happy medium would be nice. In Sport it hangs in the lower gears too long. If I'm in Sport I always use the paddles.

Exactly! Hate the vibrations and how the car rattles after shifting into 7th or 8th gear. I just keep it in sport mode now
