I have done a decent amount of reading and the common consensus for engine oil type/weight for track work is that there is no consensus.
So for the folks that actually do track days, what oil type/weight are you running?

As of right now, I'm leaning towards the Mobil 1 FS 0-40. Thoughts?

I use 5w40 either motul xcess or liquimolly
With that weight, do you swap out the oil right after the track or do you run them in there right before your next event? Basically is the 5w40 good to run on the street for a little while?

I'm probably not the right person to ask tbh this build is running mostly FBO +pure 800 and some other stuff so my street oil experience may differ. I do run 5w40 all the time, though.

I was recommended 5w40 by a performance shop that tracks their cars too and do a LOT of supra and BMW work so I trust their judgement
