How’s the car doin now?? I hear the same noise like in the video but I never got a CEL. But then i haven’t heard that noise again only the one time after i filled up.
Car is doing good! They replaced the entire evap assembly plus another hose. They told me to be carefull when filling up and not to overfill. I've never pumped gas to full full so I didn't buy that excuse. If you hear it again or get a CEL take it in. In my case I had a CEL, plus noise.

In your case for the noise, when would you hear it? was it constant? Whenever you’re parked?

FYI, I fill my tank until it comes out the spout and makes a mess every track day. No issues so far.
Glad you got her fixed Armen. However, I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion I’ll go to my trusted mechanic 1st. If he tells me to go to the dealer, only then I would. Too much BS and downtime while they practice how (or screw up) to fix a BMW.

The downtime, parts availability, lack of knowledge of our cars, and general dealership hoopla is not fun to deal with. I'll also be dealing with another trusted mechanic from now on. Hopefully won't need them unless it mod related. :D Plus i'm jumping on the Femto train this month so dealership won't be my first stop.

Guess who's back, lol,
After a whole ordeal with my bm3 issue, (car sat for 3 weeks plus), I drove her around, put about 30kms and CEL came on. Scanned and it was the same EVAP code. But no sound. I'm not going back to Toyota at this point.

I know Toyota uses ISTA for diagnostics on Supras, not sure if they also use it to program. But is there a chance the reflash back to stock removed some sort or programing? I don’t think that’s the case because they can’t just program out emissions codes.

@zrk bro, sorry to pull you into this one but if you have any guru tech info i'd love to hear it. I'm reluctant to go back to Toyota at this point.

I skimmed most of this, I saw you mentioned BM3? Is your car tuned? If it is, just tune out the code.

If your car isn't tuned, bring it back. This is definitely a manufacturer defect.

@zrk Wasn't able to tune, ecu got bricked during flashing, we flashed back to stock and relocked ecu, removing Femto unlock. So technically it's stock other than DP but some serious ecu action went on during past few days.

@zrk do you think the flash back to stock+relock via BM3 would have added different dme/ecu information which would trigger the code even though issue was physically fixed? Supposedly.

Doubt it.

Doubt it.
So I did locate this TSB, not specifically for the Supra but other BMW's with similar issue for the B58/B48.

https://www.tsbsearch.com/BMW/SI-B16-03-19

I tried opening the gas cap while the car was running with the fluttering/helicopter noise . Once the cap was released the noise went away as stated in in the TSB.

1. Duplicate the customer complaint. Release the fuel cap while the noise is occurring. Is the noise eliminated by removing the fuel cap? Yes - Go to step 2.

Step 2 is pretty much reprograming the car and updating something with the EVAP tables using ISTA.

As soon as I get bm3 installed and my ecu re-unlocked by Femto i'll simply code out P0450, but how would I get rid of the intermittent helicopter sound?

The picture attached shows the EVAP canister/sensor assembly in the rear wheel well with the liner removed. There is only 1 visible clip there that can be disconnected. I'm thinking to detach it and zip tie somewhere safe and see if that just stops the EVAP sensor from doing it's thing. Not really a bypass but just a shut down. It's worth a try... any other suggestions?

*All the parts seen in the picture were replaced.

Added 2 more picture for reference: This is the EVAP pressure leakage sensor. Which is the only thing in that area with an electrical connection.
