Nope, hasn't come back after I coded the battery type back to AGM (I left the size coded to 60ah with the new battery). Hopefully that works for you too.

Stop/Start still isn't activating, which isn't the biggest deal for me since before it only did when putting the car in park because of XHP tune. Antigravity told me typically getting the Ah rating as close as possible is recommended but I might see if putting it back at the oem size turns stop/start back on
Thanks! I changed it to AGM yesterday and the code hasn't come back yet. You might want to scan with ISTA, I had several other codes that MHD didnt show related to the battery issue and one showed a start stop disable. They haven't come back after I cleared them with ISTA yesterday.

Just an update - I tested reverting to the original coding for the battery (AGM, 105ah) and turning stop start back on in Xhp. After registering the battery again and a couple of drive cycles now stop/start is activating, and still no other codes related to the battery or charging system, voltage etc.

So at least for anyone getting Antigravity batteries I would recommend just registering the new battery as same type and don't bother coding anything. Not sure if other lithium ions would work the same way, but my car wasn't totally happy with the bimmercode changes.

I am working to custom make or fit an Lifepo4 or OEM bmw "li ion" to race car. So just for your information: if you code the car to li ion the battery will never charge correctly. Li ion have lower charge voltage. The batteries you fit are almost all Lifepo4 and they need higher charge voltage. However ! there is another issue, on aggressive braking the alternator can charge to 15.2V which is more than most lifepo4 batteries can handle so the bms inside disconnects. Some aftermarket lifepo4 batteries have the bms setup to higher voltage so they work. Very good option for race car is BMW 10Ah aux battery present in new mild hybrid models. will test if it can work

In non theoretical land, people have been using the Antigravity, PowerTex, and other LifePo4's for years without issues.

I myself have used PowerTex for years on track, under 1.3g+ braking, with no issues.

I am just reading your post about can bus data logging looking for the electrical stuff, will send PM :)
Yes i know, some aftermarket can handle it, unfortunately not many in Europe. What model PowerTex ? Do you have special IBS adapter or ?

Nothing special, just dropped the battery in. As do many others.

That's strange. Any coding or just left same AGM type ? Trying to find any info on PowerTex about bms charge cut off voltage but nothing there ? There are few options: good batteries have cut off voltage at 15.2 or even little bit more ( this is not good for lifepo4, but there is just no other way in modern bmw), very poor ones may not have bms at all inside or just balancer. No ibs module the car thinks battery is in some sort of ultimate charge state that is not possible for AGM at all :) how the PCU reacts to this i am not sure? there are just few brands available in Europe that have good reputation all of them have ibs modules to trick the pcu. You guys in US have very good batteries or you are very lucky. Antigravity I know cases battery disconnection on over charge, maybe they have different models don't know. Cheap china lifepo4 rated at 14.4 14.6V forget about them !

Edit there is some small chance that the US version don't bump battery charge voltage on braking that much but i doubt it ?
