Hello

I was driving today in the rain and this guy cut me off and a picture popped up on my dash for a split sec or 2. It looks like the rear of a car with tire trails behind it? This is something to worry about?

It happened before when it was dry.

As all others have stated, too close and if you have the emergency braking it is liable to kick in

I get that all the time. No worries, it is just a warning that you are too close to the car infront.
You could turn it off in safety settings if you find it triggering too much.

Living in SoCal, that light is on about 90% of the time.

It's unfortunate that the distance to keep the light from coming on is just enough for someone in traffic to decide they wanna cut you off.
