Hey yall, I have h&r springs installed. I didn’t cut the bump stop since it seems it’s not needed.
But the ride quality is just harsh and bumpy. I’ve read that these should be close to oem in terms of comfort, but honestly it’s just gotten annoying. I’ve had them in for over a year. Anything I can do? Maybe take the car in for an alignment?

Double check for shipping spacers and DEFINITELY get an alignment

So I double checked everything. No shipping spacers, got a new alignment. Still rides meh. I’m debating on swapping springs to whiteline or eibach. Which may be more comfortable?

I am surprised as I was very cautious which ones I purchased and went with H&R as I didn’t want a crazy slammed look and was worried about the ride. I honestly haven’t felt a difference in ride quality at all from stock. Surprisedly very happy with the drop and ride.

Shoot I went with them too due to the positive reviews on here and the drop being milder, but man it is very rough. I live out in Wisconsin and the roads are notoriously bad due to all the crazy weather we get, but it wasn’t bad at first, now after a year it’s sometimes just unbearable. It bounces so freaking much lol.

I went H&R and have had no issues. No difference in ride quality, Car just looks a lot better.

Sounds like your struts are blown. Assuming it's not just you opinion that's changed and it's actually the suspension that has.

What’s the best way to verify this? I’d actually be surprised if they did, it’s still light on miles (imo) since I work remote. It could all be in my head lol

I put H&R on last Fall and have no issues. If what youre describing is really happening you might have something else going on. What's your tire pressure at?

30psi, lowering tire pressure and the alignment DID help. I guess maybe I just miss how much more comfy the stock setup was. That’s why I’m looking at whiteline springs, seems like the spring rates are softer than the HR ones. Are euro eibach springs still a thing

You might be riding on the bump stops creating the harsh ride… I would trim them.

I went with Dinans with their bump stop kit. The springs are 25% stiffer than stock. They lower the car 1-inch in front and 0.7-inch in the rear. Driving in Normal mode is similar to what the stock springs felt like in Sport mode.
If the springs are shorter they need to be stiffer. I think some people quickly become accustomed to their new springs, and forget about how much softer the ride was before the swap.
