Has anyone installed a windshield shade band?

I had one on my 86 but I’ll just be tinting the entire windshield on my Supra, looks cleaner IMO

Installed one with 5% tint. It works great for blocking the sun and better than the little visors that are in the car. It seems to take up 25% of the windshield though but not enough to be an issue.

I had my front tinted until a rock hit it and I had to replace a new one so I called the place I got it tinted cause I have a lifetime warranty but to find out they won’t do it if windshield is replaced.

Instead I’m thinking of putting a vinyl decal strip.

Nice I have 20% and black out tint. 20% looks dark enough but I’m im thinking of going with vinyl decal strip.

No I had a shop do it along with the side markers.

Im planning on doing a vinyl banner that hopefully matches my paint (turbulence gray) but i dont know if itll affect like the sensors in the windshield. Anyone have any issues?

I did 18% all around and 18% strip on windshield, but the cars going back in to just tint the whole windshield
