Has anyone installed the Akrapovic exhaust?

Hmm not sure if it has a CARB sticker on it, I'll have to verify tomorrow. But, we can get it in California which is a good sign cause usually non CARB products we can not get in CA.

Usually any form of high flow cat isn't legal here in California.

BUT it is also worth mentioning that any MKV Supra technically doesn't need to be smog checked for 8 years anyways due to the recent smog rule changes in 2019.

When I messaged acrapovic a good while ago about their exhaust system because I was curious what would happen if I got pulled over, I was told by a rep the downpipe was “carb exempt” and that I’d get a sticker when I bought that downpipe. If it wasn’t legal I’m not sure why anyone would spend 2K on a catted downpipe.

If this is legit they should be plastering it all over this forum. They would sell a ton of their downpipes in California...starting with me. I will give them a call tomorrow

Slip-on axle portion seems to be carb rated based on other online vendor's info.
However, with the link pipes, it's not carb approved.

Axle backs are generally fine for CARB, you can take a car with an axle back and get pass Cali smog.

Question for anyone out there. I know you have to cut the OEM exhaust if I were to just add the Akrapovic axleback. Is the OEM exhaust salvageable at that point? Would there be any issues if I eventually want to return the car to stock form?

No issues at all, you can reconnect the stock axle back using clamps just like you do with an aftermarket exhaust

You would clamp the stock exhaust pieces back together.
