I’m trying to install a dashcam and have to take the headliner / A pillar covers off. Is there a specific approach to this or simple put a trim tool under and pry?

I wanted to route my dashcam wires under the headliner from the top of the windshield, across the top of the driver side A-pillar, under the airbag, to the top of the B-pillar and back to the top of the rear hatch for the rear camera and top of the A-pillar, under the airbag and down to the fuse box on the passenger side.

Long story short, I pried the "airbag" plastic tabs off on the top of the A-pillars to get access to the T25 bolt underneath. There are two plastic push pins with the A-pillars that are attach to the trim. Then you can pull out and up the A-pillar trim to remove it.

Here's the A-pillar trim schematic and the link to the DIY I used:

I’m also going along the driver side. You wouldn’t happen to have the headliner schematics would you?

Hai, love your YouTube channel, btw.

The driver side A-pillar and headliner is the exact same as the passenger side. I removed both since I wanted to run power down one side and rear camera video wire down the other. (Heard somewhere that running them together might cause video interference.:dunno:)

I mostly followed those instructions to install a 2-channel Thinkware U1000 and battery. I didn't have to remove some of the panels in the cargo area, as I was able to lift them enough to push wires through.

That's the DIY I was looking for and referring to.

Although, I installed my B-124 battery in the glovebox and tapped into the passenger side footwell fuse location.

I actually was able to install everything with only removing one panel. Thanks for the help though.

Also, thanks for the compliment on my YouTube channel!

Which fuse did you guys tap into? I did 273 for the 12 cigarette socket and weirdly, the socket and system works just fine but my vanity mirror lights now longer work.
