I was removing the badge from my trunk and I put the heat gun a little too close. Now the question is there a way to fix this without getting it repainted?

With the new badge on its not too noticeable, but trying to see if i should try anything before applying a tiny bit of touch up paint and just settling with it as is.

Yeah don't beat yourself up too bad. We've all done something similar. If you didn't do this with the heat gun, you might have with a pry tool.

A fix...
You could use touch up paint and build it back up then sand.

While I sympathize with you (scraped the lower rocker panel when exiting a garage....long story), its small enough that I personally would just sit on for a bit and you'll forget it soon enough. Either that or just not care. Just not worth the multiple hundreds of dollars to get it fixed. Instead put that toward a downpipe, or tires, or tickets for an AutoX/track day! ?

Def could be worse, like what I did to my trunk:

Gonna guess pry tool from removing the rear wing?
If so, yep, I got those and small dents on TOP of the trunk deck.

(Luckily the latest rear wing covers the knicks and dents!)

I just did the paint matched badges a month or so ago. Was so nerve racking! The good news is it's probably just you who will notice. We see this small stuff as some huge blemish when 99% of people will just see a beautiful car. Wouldn't sweat it OP. Great looking blue and badge.

This thread makes me feel better. I absolutely demolished my trunk under the emblem with a pry tool ?
