My car is going into the shop early in July to install: stiffer transmission mounts, stiffer differential mounts, larger sway bars, upgraded sway bar end links, upgraded rear traction links. Since they will be taking the car apart and dropping the subframe to install the rea sway bar, I'm considering purchasing these: https://www.hgkshop.com/collections/j29-a90/products/toyota-supra-a90-subframe-bushing-kit. I haven't, in passing, seen anyone mention these nor can I find a mention of them using the search function. As I'm putting the finishing touches on heat management in the car (turbo blanket and installing the Verus hood vent are the last pieces), I'm starting the next phase: stiffening everything up (yes I know it's going to be an NVH nightmare). What is the general consensus concerning these? Anyone running them or know someone who is?

I'm also reminded of this thread @Thraxbert posted:

https://www.supramkv.com/threads/ph...llars-for-a90-supra-tips-tricks-torque.10957/

I appreciate any input!

I cant comment directly on the parts but if this is a street car at all I would seriously reconsider the solid mounts. If its a dedicated track car then fine no big deal. If you use it on the street it will most likely make you not want to drive the car anymore.

If you dont do those mounts, look into the other SPL suspension parts if you dont already have them. Or things like front camber plates that replace the OEM top hat and provide a bunch of front end feel.

There is a review of twisted tunings trans mounts here: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/review-twisted-tuning-a90-supra-upgraded-transmission-mounts.11981/

Yep, read that thread and posted in it myself (see the 2nd page). I do appreciate the warning - I really do - but it's all going on the car. In addition, I've been communicating with Rich over at VRF Design about motor mounts they sell (the stiffer track version) and I'll likely buy 'em and have the shop put them on at the same time while they're under there and pulling things apart. I've been driving on the street and tracking built cars for about 25 years (get off my lawn!) and stiffening up the drive train and suspension bushings is the standard procedure for the way I approach making my cars feel good to me. I'm a fan of a visceral automobile experience. :) Maybe I'll be miserable, and if I am, I'll remove them and go with another aftermarket setup or back to stock. It's easily reversible. Everyone's tolerance to NVH is different.

I do have a handful of SPL parts on the way. Not the full setup yet. When I do that, I'm going to do new tires for the street at the same time since the alignment will need to be mucked with. And when I do that, because the tires are coming off the wheels, I'm going to powder coat 'em. And while it's at the place I use for that kind of thing, since they do body work, I'll have the Verus hood vent put on the car. And since I'm getting body work done... :p It escalates from there and I just wanted to get this work done now and send it off for the other work some time this summer. I'm looking forward to doing it all, though, to get rid of some of the slop BMW baked into their design.

Haha, fair enough ?

I salute you for your all-in approach, and am looking forward to hearing what you think once the parts are on.
Will let you know after the install on July 5th!
