I have decided to trade/sell my 2.0 and get into a brand new base 3.0

I really want a Nitro Yellow car.

I contacted my local dealer and after an hour they called me back and said they "cant get it in our region"

I am not sure what that means.

On Toyota Website it clearly has Nitro yellow as a color option.

Nitro Yellow and White are my top colors. My current 2021 2.0 is also white and I love it. But I wanted a "louder" color.

Can anyone suggest anything, or help me find a new 3.0 Base in Nitro Yellow for close to MSRP? I dont want any options (like JBL/Asist etc)

Thanks!

I think premium was easier to find in all other colors at the time i was looking. In my particular region I wasn’t willing to travel, did not like haggling and wanted to get a car immediately before the market became absolutely fucked. Could tell what the trend was and what would happen if I waited, so I bought a base yellow.

Either way I hope you find what you want. I’m super happy with my car.

yeah so basic cars.com only shows premiums in Nitro Yellow

idk if I just make a "build" on toyota website and cross my fingers or ask them to try and put it thru and see what happens

I would just get a premium if the color is what you really want. I had the same rationale. In essence I just wanted power and the color I liked the most. Everything else being secondary, I found a good MSRP deal and went with that. I would just send it with the premium if you find a good price and turn all the assists off if it bothers you. That’s what I would’ve done in different circumstances. Just remember you can’t really order directly through Toyota. You can only ask for specific options from allocations to the dealers in your region

^^^ what @obito said. It's more common to run into a 3.0 premium than the base... you'll find a 2.0 in nitro yellow before you find a base model... "base" isn't as common as you think, especially in the color you want. @obito is just lucky lol

Toyota doesn't allow you to order cars in a spec. They get what they get.

There's not much spec to talk about anyhow. it's either safety package on base or driver assist on prem, at least in US. We're talking about 52K vs 56K MSRP with base vs Prem+DrvAsst

I went with the 21 Nitro 3.0 Base. It was the little things I didnt like about the Premium like the round sensors in the bumper or the red calipers. Otherwise, it had everything I wanted in it and the price was so much cheaper than premiums at the time of my purchase.

My car must’ve been a fluke then because it’s a base 2020 with every package except the HUD and the heated seats. So I have the drivers assist and the upgraded screen and sound system

well this is pretty much it, my 2021 2.0 has the driver assist and JBL stereo and I believe Premium 3.0 has better or more options on the seats - and I don't really care for any of these features

the price difference between Base and Premium are not a deal breaker, its the fact that the features that Premium brings in I'm not interested in

also my 2.0 has driver assist and the passenger mirror that adjusts and a JBL stereo, and I believe 3.0 Premium has slightly different/more options on the seats from base model - and I'm really not interested in any of these features

I'm glad to see so many of you were able to get your 3.0 in Nitro Yellow, I hope I can get that lucky, I have an appointment set for Saturday, wish me luck

the thing with color is, I absolutely love MK5 in White/Nitro Yellow/Red, the other colors are great, but these (in that order) are my fav
