Dealerships know little to nothing. That said, they could have easily just looked it up in the service manual?

Parts guy at my local Toyota dealership insists the car only needs 5.5L (6.8 quarts).....

Had to argue with him that it's 6.5L (6.9 quarts).

He probably just Googled it on his phone and found the value for the B48, which is 5.5 quarts. And then assumed quarts = liters.

Just did my first oil change Tuesday and I put in 6.6-6.7ish quarts and the oil level read perfect first try.

I couldn't remember if it was 6.5 liters or 6.5 quarts recommended for re-fill, but right in the middle worked out fine.
