My car is at about 1500 miles now, still on The factory break-in oil. Should I change it before or after the track day?

It doesnt hurt to do it if you have the time to do it over the next two weeks. I changed my oil at 1200 miles and i didnt have any track days scheduled yet.

I vote to change it.

You’ve passed the break-in mileage. There is no need to keep it in there. Fresh oil for the track is always a good way to start the event. If you can take a sample for a Blackstone oil analysis that’s even better.

Track experience. Novice, change afterwards. Advanced, change now. Would consider higher weight if advanced. Not sure about using such light oil for track use if advanced as expect engine temps to get high and stay high.
