Rear mounted hybrid V35a coming around 2025 for $100,000.

I wonder what direction the A100 will go if this is in the mix

Maybe this will end up being the new Supra? Tada did originally wanted to make a mid-engine car with BMW.

I still think it would be strange if this car has the engine behind the driver. During development of both the Supra and LFA Toyota said they put the engine in front of the driver since it is more predictable for drivers at the limit. Perhaps a combination of both Supra and MR2 by going front-mid engine?

The Vette went mid engine, perhaps Toyota is wanting to follow suit.

The corvette was already mid engined and didn't follow suit with the development of the A90 so I don't think they are explicitly following Chevrolet here

I think you knew what I meant :p

Just because GM didn't doesn't mean that Toyota is now not shooting themselves in the foot for not listening to Tada.

Idk, some of this is a little too farfetch for me. @A70TTR, is there any truth behind any of this?

It didn't need to have the engine behind the driver to blow people away though. The GTR did the same in the previous decade with performance that rivaled exotics for a lot less money.

In some ways they should have listened to him but in others they shouldn't have.
