I know you’re not supposed to and I certainly don’t believe everything I see on the Internet, lol! But I was just wondering what people think about driving in “Sport” mode all the time? According to this video, it puts undo stress and strain on the car, (a BMW, which we really have 😳) but I always drive in “Sport” mode. I wouldn’t if I took it on a long trip and was on the highway for hours and hours, but around town I just like it. I obviously disable the auto startup feature too, which they say you should, if it’s occurring constantly. Thoughts on this?

Doesn't make any meaningful difference. Maybe it'll make the engine or transmission give out at 200k miles instead of 210k.

All that sport mode does to the powertrain is make throttle response and transmission shifts a little bit snappier, it's far less "harmful" than XHP transmission tunes or any sort of power modding. There's plenty of people that have 50K+ miles on the B58+ZF8 with upgraded turbos and XHP without any issues.

You have nothing to worry about what so ever.

While I have a 6MT, I agree this is largely just youtube click trash.

Someone on here needs to just turn back the wheel of time and start putting out actual content instead of clout. I'm at the point where if I hear "whats up youtube" I basically stop watching immediately.

78k miles, exclusively sport mode. Only failure has been A/C compressor bearing, probably from tracking/a lot of high rpm.

Sample size of 1, but I don't have an influencer platform, so I'm probably an idiot.
