Can someone explain to me why I'm counting 1544 on the master list of Launch Edition Vins? I stubbled across the master list and I was confused on why the list is 1544 long and not 1500. Anyone who has listed their Launch Edition should be able to verify that their vin is on this master list.

I found the list here: https://www.supramkv.com/attachments/le-txt.14216/
The first vin was an early production 9/18. You can see on the spec sheet it has a lockable camouflage cover. I also provided another spec that does not list the camo cover. S9ADA code. Not 100% sure on my theory

Do you know by any chance the Vin of the 2.5 million dollar Phantom Supra? It has to be on that list right?

Can someone decipher this master list to get us a final count on how many LE Red, Black & White each were produced? Was it 500 of each or some other combination?

Best Regards,
Dave

Yeah, as mentioned previously on here, it's almost like they just made a bunch of the cars and then randomly picked some of them to make "Launch Editions" (as opposed to having the LEs actually be the first 1,500 made). It's not clear yet if the ones in between were 3.0 / 3.0 Premiums for the U.S. or models for other regions, though.

As for colors, I've heard that it was 50% red and 25% black/white, but I'm not sure how official that is. I started this spreadsheet (see the "Statistics" tab therein), but the only way we'll know with this is to manually fill in the data...

Wait 250 white 250 black and 1000 Red? or what? I don't follow .... remember we gotta get to 1500 when we sum this up.

I think you mean 375 White 375 Black and 750 Red aka 375 + 375 + 750 = 1500... lol sorry I'm asian we do the maths :coffee:

Well, if those are the numbers, it would technically be 999 reds, 375 blacks, 375 whites, and 1 phantom...

:hide:

In any event, I don't think we know for sure, but we can kind of figure it out if more people share LE info here.

Well because we have the VINs you can also use the For Sale Ads "Technically speaking" I started doing that on my spreadsheet. Oh and your maths are still off 999 + 375 + 375 = 1749 (I tried to say that in the most none d1ckish way possible, sorry)

Ah fak that should've been 749 not 999 lol. :banghead:

But anyway, we don't know the official breakdown. I'm kind of afraid to use for sale ads because a lot of the time dealers don't even know the difference between LEs and the other models... Some of the cars that dealers claimed were LEs when I was still looking for one were actually base models (e.g., I was told by one dealer that they had an LE at MSRP, but when I asked what color it was, they said "blue"). :banghead::banghead::banghead:

EDIT: By the way, where did the VIN list come from and how do we know that thing's accurate?

Canā€™t find where I read the breakdown on color choices for the LE models. But Iā€™m sure it said 50% would be red. So my earlier post wasnā€™t accurate. Maybe someone can post the article or press release on this thread
