Has anyone figured out how to identify your LE number via the VIN yet?

I think the only determination that we have made is that there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the numbering. It is almost as if they took a bunch of plaques and randomly placed them on cars.

Well this is not mine, but I thought I would share. The dealer down the street from me has it in the upstairs showroom. (LE Absolute Zero) I'm not sure if it's available or not. 64 of 1500. They also have a Turbulence Gray Premium.

This is just a random guess, but it seems like the launch editions were manufactured at the same time as some of the 3.0 and 3.0 premiums that were sent to the United States (they were not necessarily the first 1,500), so perhaps a lot of those non-LE cars cars are the "missing" VIN numbers in between the LE VIN numbers. Not sure if Z4s also are sharing in the same pool of VINs, although it would be interesting to see some VIN numbers from early non-LE MKVs and Z4s produced around the same time.

At least, from what we've seen, all of the VIN numbers and LE numbers are in ascending order, so based on the very small pool of data we have thus far it seems like there may be some sort of correlation...

Whelp, I guess the ordering is completely random... Having said that, we have VINs from 21283 through 24470 thus far, which is well over a difference of 1,500, so I'm not sure what's going on there. As mentioned above, perhaps it's just non-LEs being produced with LEs and then they make the LE determination later when they start installing the interior / adding the options. It would be interesting to see the VIN numbers of some of the first non-LEs to make it to the states.

Hey everyone just got my LE Supra today #342.

Coming from the FR-S/86/BRZ community. Going to miss the razor-edge handling of the BRZ especially because I have the tS model but looking forward to the performance upgrade here in the GR.
Interesting you chose those words -- I felt like the Supra had a higher limit than the 86, but the Supra felt a little softer and less communicative going up towards its limit. My 86 was definitely sharper up to the limit and maybe more predictable. I feel like someone could quickly get in trouble with the Supra, whereas the 86 would always start giving you feedback sooner.

Which dealer did you end up getting the car from? Did they do a markup?
Sheehy Toyota in VA. --- $0 markup (except the $799 all VA processing fee; no way around this one). I have to say, my experience here was night and day from communication with other dealers. Johnny was my salesman. I put a deposit down on the 17th and they stayed in constant contact via text (which I noted was my preferred method); sent the purchase order over the same day I paid my deposit as well.

They even called me when the car was seen by a customer who wanted to sit in it since it was technically sold. When I went in to sign paperwork, the customer met me up there, I let him get in and he bought their incoming 3.0 White Premium on the spot.
