Hey guys, I just bought a 2020 GR Supra and looking to do some mods to it. This is the first car I'd be modding, so please go easy on me; I may ask some dumb questions. Firstly I'm looking to change the exhaust system. I've done some research and if I'm correct, there's two parts to this: the downpipe and the actual exhaust. The country I'm in is fairly relaxed regarding emissions checks, so catless if fine. Regarding the exhaust, I'm looking for something that:
  1. Has a valve as to not piss off the neighbours.
  2. Sounds high-pitched at high RPMs. I'm not really fond of the low RPM grumbling.
  3. Has pops and bangs, that would be a plus.
  4. Isn't INSANELY loud; I don't know if that would be enjoyable.
Would appreciate any suggestions. Cost isn't a factor. Let me know if I understood anything wrong. Thanks!

No one has ever talked about this before!! Crazy. I also wonder what oil I should use?? Maybe there is a way I could search the forums for all these amazing questions!!

Search in google for Supra exhaust reviews. There are plenty of clips and samples in YouTube.

I am extremely happy with the Borla Exhaust. Paired with the Cat AA Downpipe, they make a fantastic sound. And I can quite it in the neighborhood

First, I'd definitely disable the ASD if you can. It's fake, annoying and droney.

Second, if you're okay with catless, then just do that before any catbacks. The OEM exhaust really opens up in sound with a catless downpipe.

Aftermarket catbacks are usually deeper in tone, so if you're trying to avoid that stick with the OEM system or search for one with piping that's as close to the stock 70mm diameter.

Dinan, in normal mode it’s only a little louder than stock.

In sport, it’s a straight pipe without resonators.

1st two revs in normal, last 2 in sport, stock dp

Usually when I look for exhausts I check out YouTube.. Then find the exhaust note I like and then search that exhaust with keywords such as 'sucks' or 'poor' or 'shitty' or something like that to see any complaints about the exhaust. Then I find my posts..

go for valved ones on alibaba they are cheap, sound good, and are good enough quality. Also number 3 has nothing to do with the exhaust but the tune it self.

I suggest open dump is what you're looking for.
