Yes new products may be in the market since those old posts. Maybe there’s a reason there’s no updates on them they are the same as everything else. Lots of info here that a simple bump on the original thread would make more progress vs starting a new one and clogging up the forum.
If your stock turbo u don’t need an upgraded charge pipe. Heat exchanger is a waste of money for the less than 1% gain u might see. Intake manifold will yield u the best help with iat and with one u will need to get a charge pipe and as mentioned b4 they are a metal pipe in the same shape so they all do the same thing. Only recommendation is get the extended coupler for it. Pick the one that is the color u like. But if your tuner isn’t able to help direct u better u need a better tuner If he’s telling u to buy junk u don’t need like a heat exchanger
They werent recommending the heat exchanger, i just said i wanted one as i plan to track the car

Honestly it's still better to post in these threads even if they are dated so information can be condensed to a few or even singular thread(s) for reference in the future. It puts them at the top of the feed just the same as a new thread so you can still get the latest info.
Im still new to this so i dont know the best places to post or ask questions, hence i asked in a new one

Yes, I agree! There definitely seems to be a direct correlation to the year of birth and intelligence level. I've been noticing this trend on this forum lately, with new members. Lots of younger owners and the inability to use a search bar, then get enraged and defensive when real human data conflicts with ChatGPT.
I used the search bar and again the threads i found were either not related or dated when people were still saying shit like "ams is new and not well tested yet but looks like junk"

and no where did i ever say anything about asking AI so lil weird for yall to try saying i did, i even liked sources of things I've read and heard to support my questioning, but if yall wanna just continue to be ignorant and standing on your soap box shitting on people trying to learn, pop off king, truly making mk5 owners/car culture look amazing when they shit talk people for asking questions, even if they are stupid how does one learn? its the same reason we get the most clapped out POS's in car meets because its people who just stopped caring when they get treated like morons when trying to learn.

anyway thanks for listening to my ted talk

Even with tracking u still don’t need one. Only time u should replace it is if it is damaged or leaking and u have to. Then id look at one of the aftermarket ones

I was under the impression that the heat exchanger was good for running more consistently on the track? as someone else here already said i should look more into the intake manifold for keeping car cooler anyways

Doesn’t do much maybe couple percent help but the intake manifold like others have said does the most percentage of cooling

Intake manifold is what you’re wanting.
