Currently looking for help on sending my vehicle info to tuner via EcuTek’s Phone app.

I was on an MHD tune and have flashed the car back to stock. Made an account on EcuTek, got my dongle from CSG, registered with Zach, and I can’t send him the vehicle info because I get this error below stating “OBD error: general reject”. I’ve done the basic flashing protocols (headlights off, A/C off, doors closed, etc.) and even used a battery tender (CTEK) while doing this and I am not sure what is not allowing me to send my info over. I am 100% sure the car is flashed back to stock now, however.

Did you flash the stock map in MHD, or did you do a full stock flash and relock? EcuTek requires a different unlock method than MHD/bm3.

The "OBD error: general reject" usually means your ECU is locked or still in a diagnostic mode. First, restart the car completely. You can check the EcuTek app instructions on the https://ecutek.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360020370437-PhoneFlash-Getting-Started Getting Started page.

This is what I was thinking too, I thought you had to have Femto do an ECU Clone with a 2020 donor to get ECUTek to work, and that just unlocking wasn't enough. But I don't know that Femto even offers cloning anymore so hopefully that isn't the case.

EcuTek is still a thing now? Thought the majority of the necessary tables have been defined by now with bootmod3 and MHD

From what I understand, ecutek can inject any arbitrary code written by the tuner into the dme's calculations. MHD+ partially bridges the gap, but the knobs you can tune are still controlled by what Martin coded up.

Similarly for the logging side, bm3 can log intermediate RAM calculations, but ecutek can report a custom-defined math output.
