*Resolved at the bottom *

For state inspection, we have to plug in OBD2 to make sure the o2 sensor is on or ready. Should I flash to MHD stage 0? Or toggle the option back to stock downpipe? Both? I have a catted AA DP which passed for years. Just want to be sure which flash I should use.

Stock if you can. You cannot spoof the 02 sensor or it's an instant fail from showing test not available.
I think the ‘OEM downpipe’ option on MHD puts it back to a ready status. Will try that

May have just answered my own question in the user guide. Need to select OEM downpipe.

it's 2025 and Timmy doesn't read user manuals. Tsk Tsk.
And I make fun of people for asking about oil. I should be shamed.

Driven a few drive cycles on Stage 0 MHD and the OEM downpipe selected. I don’t think the stage tune matters, but having the OEM downpipe should. Quick scan with an Amazon scanner shows I should be good for inspection now….should.

Yea that will pass. Do you have any pending codes?
No sir! When I flash MHD I get a CEL for battery something that goes away after a start / stop cycle. Might be the trickle charger I use when doing a long flash?
Anyways. Excited to get the stage 2 stuff back on.

Last update here.

Last update here. Stage 0, OEM downpipe enabled and it passed inspection this morning. I don’t think the stage 0 flash mattered, but enabling OEM downpipe readies that sensor and it reads legal with the AA catted DP.
If someone searches this in the future, hope it helps!

Thanks for this. I will be doing the same thing at some point and it's good to know what is needed to pass inspection.

Can you use the MHD flasher tool to read and reset OBD2 with an app or would I need a different OBD2 scan tool to do all of this?

Not sure what you mean by the last part, did you mean CEL? If so, yes! MHD can scan and clear codes. No issue there
