MHD+ for Supra and Gen 2 B58

so I’m having an unlock tomorrow and thinking the MHD+ route. I guess I’ll need the logging option but if using your online tuning tool should I forget the ots maps or are they a good starting point?

After doing a lot of research online (from my understanding) going the Ecutek route and having a remote tune done by Jeff payn or zach tucker from CSG is one of the better options. Especially for everyday use or hitting the road course. Someone correct my if I'm wrong, but that's the route I'm leaning towards after unlock.

Could the issue then be the throttle mapping and response?

Is it possible sure. But you would need to ask MHD if they changed the throttle mapping for the OTS maps. Generally speaking they didnt much in the past, but offered flash options for different throttle settings.

BMW throttle mapping stock is overly aggressive. Often times mapped to the point of 40% pedal gives 100% throttle. Not huge torque issue at stock boost levels. But when boost is scaled up so is that

There's several options. MHD and Ecutek are the best options. Tuner wise there are several options as well including myself for either. Let me know if you have any questions

Probably because they just raise the tq ceilings way up instead of scaling them to the actual tq output.
