Wondering if anyone is attending this “new” Supra day? Or if anyone else received this email?

I'll be there for the whole weekend as part of the NASA event, not just the Supra event.

Have fun at the event! I'm an instructor at NASA North East and had a small group (3) :p last time at Pocono. It was just fun being with other supra at the track! more the better!
I'm signed up for the event at Palmer in October for the free Supra HPDE, maybe I'll see you there! The last NASA HPDE event I participated in got me "promoted" to HDPE2, but I was forced into HDPE1 with the Supra track day signup, which is fine by me.

Any recommendations on track insurance for these events? Is it something I can add for a day?

yep! i signed up. See you there! If you signed up /w supra concierge, they don't know your level correctly. so you could send message directly to nasa ne and ask them if they can bump you up. but I strongly recommend to have an instructor with you because you will learn so much more! you can ask for an instructor in HPDE 2.

Both Lockton and Haggerty will insure. Quote I received from Haggerty was a little over 300 dollars for the event (3 days)

Better question. Did you guys pay the $300+ insurance for the single day Supra Sunday?

For a full 3 day event I would be fine paying it, but it is hard for me to fork over $300+ for what's going to be mostly lead/follow on the track for an hour or two

I did not. First time on the track and after the first lap the fears went away. It’s pretty well organized and the cars all have a nice distance between them. I did the Autobahn in Chicago.

I did not pay the insurance. I was in the regular NASA event with the Supra. Watching the Supra group, alot of follow the leader with instructors in the car to assist. Very safe and under control. I wouldn't get the insurance if I were you. If it is a wet track, I would recommend against going out unless you have prior experience. Mid-Ohio is VERY slippery when wet.

I was already signed up for July 25th in Pittsburgh, just signed up for Mid-Ohio too. Was $100 for the day
Nice! will you get insurance for the one day mid-ohio? It will be my first time on a track and not sure if I should pay $324 for insurance.

Also - has anyone done or considered Mid-Ohio's 3 day High Performance Course? It's not cheap, but looks like it could be well worth the cost based on curriculum / seat time over the 3 days.

It's about 2-3x the cost of HPDE events at Mid-Ohio put on by AutoInterests, ChinTrackDays, and NASA Great Lakes. Mid-Ohio 3 day course has skid cars and S2000 you get time in, but not sure of other benefits over these other companies.

https://midohio.com/courses/high-performance/3-day-high-performance-course

***EDIT - for those interested, here are some of the costs of other companies for events at Mid-Ohio specifically. Prices are similar for events at other locations too like Pitt Raceway

NASA - 2 day HPDE $479.00
ChinTrackDays - 2 day HPDE $750
AutoInterests - 1 day only offered, HPDE $270-$365 depending when you sign up
Mid-Ohio School - $2050 for 3 days. ~$750-$800 per day if you sign up individually
