MT second gear top speed

Wondering what speed the mt hits redline. I've tried to catch it in videos but haven't been successful. Can any new manual owner stay in second and let us know what speed you are at when hitting redline? I'm in the US so mph is preferred but no worries if you test in kph.

If my math is right, it should be ~69 MPH (nice) @ red line in 2nd gear on the MT.

Assumptions:

• 7000 RPM red line
• 26.7" tire diameter
• 3.46:1 final drive (MT only)
• 2.315:1 2nd gear ratio (MT only)

Speed vs RPM is a linear relationship. If you know the RPM and speed at any point in 2nd gear you can easily calculate what the speed will be at redline.

This is correct. I just looked at my WOT in second gear haha.

I was going to say, just do the math. Fun part about that is you can see how your gearing changes based on tire changes.

About 2200 engine rpm (2222) for 60 mph in 6th gear.

Much appreciated. I did manage to find a transmission ratio RPM calculator as well. BIG difference in cruising RPM for the manual versus the auto.

Mine turns about 2250 indicated at 100kph (60mph) All things considered it's pretty short geared for a 3 litre turbo with such a flat torque curve which surprised me a little.
