Hi! First-time poster, long-timer lurker (hence my username :p). Been lurking on here pretty often ever since the rumored 2017 TAS debut, so I thought, why not make an account here:dunno:? I enjoy visiting this site so much that I decided to make an account here. As far as the MKV Supra goes, judging by how much I visit SupraMKV.com, I might just be in the market for one in the next 4 years once I pay off my current car. Speaking of which, I currently drive a '17 Q50 Red Sport 400, which I might just replace with a MKV Supra, and a more inexpensive DD. I've been craving for a Supra for quite a while, but I've also always wanted a BMW too so this car would be perfect for me :p. I'm looking forward to see how the MKV Supra turns out, including that hot GR version A70 and Performance have been teasing us about . I just want to thank the mods and admin behind this website for making it a pleasure to visit. Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Hey all,

I've been visiting this forum for about 3 years now. Up until recently, I hadn't seriously considered the new Supra (or any other pure sports car) for my next ride, but I think I'm now ready to take that next step and scout out some real 2-seater sports cars for the first time in my life. I have a modest garage consisting of a 2010 Evo X MR and 2010 E92 M3, both of which are staying with me till the end. Supra is on my short list for my next purchase sometime in 2019/2020, alongside the next-gen base C8 Corvette, 718 Cayman S, and F-Type R Dynamic. I'm excited for the upcoming Supra reveal early next year and can't wait to have a shot at the driver's seat upon release.

Glad to be here with you all. Thanks again.

Hello!

Huge Supra fan and pretty excited about it coming back! Trying to hold out and order Oct 2019. I may not make until then. This will definitely be a bucket list car for me as I bugged a local dealership in 1993 dreaming of ordering a mk4. Looking forward to learning from you all.

Officially making my presence known. Always loved Supras. Back in '85 I settled for a new red VW GTI for my first brand new car when just a few more bucks could have got me a barely 1 yr old Celica GTS in red. Lesson learned, always make the extra stretch for Toyota quality!
I have really enjoyed the Scion FR-S since taking delivery May of 2012. The mod list is long and truly it is never exactly how I want it but it rests in the garage all winter and it's a nice sleeper on a not too hot day avoiding congested traffic (when the V1 intake can heat soak). This car likes highway driving and short stints on the HPDE track at CTMP and I suppose I do make the odd responsible use of the extra power on the highway when passing. :)

hello from Guam! I am a member of the Toyota sales dealership here. Never owned a Supra before but had some interesting vehicles in the past. My current vehicle is a Lotus Elise. I can''t wait to see the new Mk V in person.

Hiya from Texas!

I've been following the SupraMKV news for a while and finally found this forum. I always get excited when new sports cars get (re)introduced to the world.

I currently drive a 2017 Golf R 6MT for my daily and a 2006 Lotus Elise for my weekender (when it wants to start... stupid flaky immobilizer).

I used to own a 2015 Subaru BRZ Limited before it was annihilated by hail and I absolutely loved that car, flaws and all. I keep looking at the new Supra and thinking it's the spiritual bigger brother to that, so that really has my curiosity piqued.

I'm not sure yet if I'll swap my Golf for it since I'm still enjoying it for now and it's hard to beat hatchback practicality, but I really am just a sucker for 2 door sports coupes. At the very least I'll probably wait for the 2nd model year just to make sure they get any of the serious issues out of the way in the 1st go around but if what they announce at the NAIAS looks good it might be tempting regardless.

:D

Heyyoooo..!

Longtime SF member (since 02), multiple and current MKIV owner and overall performance car enthusiast/owner/racer. I've been lurking here for awhile and decided to go ahead and register.. So far the MKV is a honestly a heart-breaking disappointment --- a real kick in the nuts for those of us hoping for a worthy Japanese successor that would compete with GTR, Corvette Z06, etc.. and were willing to pay for it. I sincerely hope my opinion can be swayed, but unfortunately and pragmatically, I'm not too confident..

Hello all.

Similar to AHP, been around Supras since '98 and SF member since '08. Also been lurking here for awhile, though never really posted. In similar fashion, so far I am a little discouraged from what I am hearing about the new Supra, but do hope it lives up to the expectations in top trim. Would love to add one to the stable.

Hello from Mississippi!

I'm Avery, long time lurker here. I joined a few weeks ago and finally decided to post. I've been following the new supra's news ever since the FT-1 concept came out. I currently own a '12 Toyota Tacoma and am hoping the new supra will be my next vehicle!

Hey everybody, following from Ottawa, Canada. Super excited for the release of the Mk5, and may be in the cards for me in a few years when they release the full lineup and work out the kinks. Current owner of a 1993 GTR (selling this year), and 2014 Mazda 3 (daily).
