I also thought that was odd. They obviously have timing equipment. Run the entire AX course 3 or 4 times on each tire and share all the results. And unless that is something like a 50 cone slalom I call potential BS on 2 seconds difference. Two seconds on an entire AX run is absolutely HUGE. On a typical AX course you might be in a slalom section for just a few seconds in total. No way one tire is two seconds faster in such a short section. That “test” sure seemed like a Hoosier-funded advertisement to me.

All I can currently say is they are very light!

305/30/19 = 24lbs
325/30/19 = 26.6lbs

I'll have them on track next month (not on a Supra, though).

You sure about those weights? SUPERCAR 3R are 33lbs at the same 325 size.

that’s a huge difference

I haven't bought any yet but weight seems to be one of the biggest pros. Here's tire rack on the 325's

I'm sure..

Not apples to apples since 19 vs 18 but for reference (and my own curiosity):

Pirelli DHF scrubs:

305/660/18 22.4lb
325/680/18 = 23.6lbs

just for conversation purposes the continental "Extreme contact force" is manufactured by hoosier also. similar max attack road legal tire!

I've run ECF on both my C8 and C7Z. In my experience ECF are a great dual purpose tire - they wear like iron, fairly consistent throughout a session and work ok in the wet. I got something like 40+ cycles out of a set still with some tread remaining, but at that point they were so off pace it was just frustrating. The biggest downside to ECF is the pace -- in my experience they are by far the slowest 200TW by an order of magnitude. They are more comparable to a 300TW like a PS4S, except they'll run a full session and don't have a tendency to peel the shoulders off... On my C8 with the same sizing, similar conditions and no other changes, the Nankang CR-S v2 were ~3 seconds quicker than ECF around a 2.28mi course.

Hoping these new Hoosiers are as good or better than the CR-S.

Take the max attack out of attack and I would agree. They are by far the bottom of the barrel 200tw tire. Basically slightly quicker than the ancient RS4 tire.

In the dry, I would take Kumho v730 over a ECF any day. Way cheaper and way faster even though the v730 are a couple seconds slower compared to the top 200tw tires. So yea, ECF back o' the pack.

Someone’s nice looking Supra is on Maxxis page below, for their new extreme summer tire ?

Good article below on this Hoosier

I would assume this new Hoosier to be comparable to Maxxis newest street/trackable version, the VR2. And not nearly as grippy as the CRS. Those Nankangs were really close to my fav go to track tire, RC-1.
