I've had a few GT-R (R32, R34)... cool thing to drive. TBH though, the build quality compared to the A80 is just not there... not to mention the chassis flex! But very cool, would own another one.

But thanks to the US demand, prices went absolutely through the roof for the GT-Rs here... I sold my R32 (midnight blue, BBS LMs) for $17k AUD.... Could get $40k now.

Not as many people play with them any more because pretty much any RB26 needs a rebuild/love these days due to age... so there's cheaper options.

I digress. Would get another GT-R.

It's so funny that those know nothing car journalists and fanboys call the RB26 an indestructible engine when tuners are struggling to crank out over 800hp on the stock engine block reliably 24/7. With the 2JZ, it's not even breaking a sweat at that power level.

the banshee-like howl of an RB is very, very addictive....

but you can't get any old 25 year old RB, throw 25psi and fuel at it, and make reliable power... unlike 90% of JZ engines

JZ ain't pretty but it gets the job done
