I believe MX has access to their app and more features. I use the CX since that extra fluff was pointless for me.

Have the CX+ you can use it if you like, I'm in West Palm Beach.
Sadly the adapter is in the Car at the dealer now for a fried vacuum pump...

What’s the difference between CX and mx?
The CX is great for Bimmercode, the OBDLink app, and reading/clearing codes. I don't know if this one has the automatic sleep/wake up so you may set off your car alarm if you leave it plugged in (somebody with the CX may be able to confirm or correct this).

The LX is ugly as sin but has more features including the ability to connect to a laptop and auto sleep/wake so your alarm won't go off if you leave it plugged in. This modules also works with more apps than the CX.

The MX+ is like the LX but not puke green and has a greater compatibility (will work with Ford and GM protocols, and is specifically recommended by some third party apps).

My recommendation is if you are only using this for Bimmercode and occasional use of clearing codes, checking temperatures/boost, etc., get the CX.

If you are going to run a variety of apps or will be leaving it plugged in to frequently show temperature/boost/AFR/IAT, etc., get the MX+.

Hope this helps.

I leave my CX plugged in, and it only triggers the alarm if you lock the car while BimmerCode or BimmerLink is still connected to the module. OBDLink app doesn’t trigger this because it automatically disconnects when you turn off the car.

the CX is good value if you are using it primarily for BimmerCode and BimmerLink. But the Bluetooth transfer rate is slightly slower versus the MX+.

Used it a couple of times till I had all the settings to my liking.
Been in the glove box sins.
Will be using it again sins the update wiped all customization out.
Dealer said minimum a week on the pump, have a feeling it will be a whole lot longer:(
Then again it was my fault for not doing the recall to begin with.
Guess I got very lucky that it happened when I was leaving the garage and not while driving.
If you haven't done yours, please do, it might save your car/life...

Words of wisdom here. I cannot believe there are folks actively refusing to do this.

u said the adapter is in car?
so the CX module is a separate part, and u need the adapter to connect the module to the port under the dashboard? Does the adapter come with the purchase of module? Or do u
Purchase separately?
