I'll start. 30-39 category. 36 to be exact.

Today I learned 14 is a minimum age for learner's permits in areas of the USA and Canada. NJ made me wait until 16!

I got my license when I was 15 in Illinois. Farm land in the middle of nowhere. Permitted at 14.

I'm from NY so same, permit at 16 and DL at 17. I also remember we had to wait until we were 18 to be able to drive past 9pm ?

I missed that by a year in NJ. The Graduated License went into effect on 01/01/01 but I got my permit at 16 in November 2000. So I got an unrestricted license at 17. A few more months, and it would be restricted license at 17 then unrestricted at 18.

I'm a big guy so I have to do the "falling ass first into the inner tube at the lazy river" maneuver. There's usually that "oh shit" moment about 3 inches away from hitting the seat. Otherwise, my knees will start creaking for a week afterwards.
