Anyone have any idea what is going on. After receiving the first message I ran the check oil sequence and the second image appeared.

You probably have to replace the oil measuring sensor

You probably have to replace the oil measuring sensor
But if that were causing the message wouldn't the oil level sequence also be inoperative?

Did you just change the oil? The only thing I can think might be the case is a missing value due to clearing it, and running it manually should have fixed that.

Will be interesting if it comes up again, but you're correct - same sensor is involved so unless it's an intermittent communication problem with the sensor you shouldn't be able to manually measure the level either.

Last oil change was in late August. Thank you for the input.

Did you meet the criteria for measuring it? 30 min drive/ warm engine etc?
Yes I did but measuring the oil level was never the problem.
