ok nice, at least one good news ...

this issue is very strang still ... car work perfect, like i said, temp perfect, oil pressure perfect ... is there a possisibiity that this probleme will never cause a failure of the pump? or failure is innevitable?

hard to know i guess

little update,

bring my car to the toyota dealership, they tested the car for 3 day, could not understand why oil reading was not working, and then changed the oil pump

everything work now ... trying to make the warranty work

I have been having this issue on my modified 2020 Launch Edition Supra for awhile. Currently has 27k miles, and is tuned on ecutek. My oil level measurement never passes 15-25% regardless of the oil temperature, and I looked back to an old log while I was getting tuned; the peak oil pressure under WOT is 94-95psi. I read that it should be around 80psi. However, I have never gotten an Oil Pressure Too High code.

I live in Nashville, so not in a typically cold climate that I have read can affect the shitty plastic oil pump gears in the 2020 cars, but it was cold here this past winter for a bit.

I am leaning towards having the pump replaced anyway with the newer version, but I know it will be pricey.

At WOT oil pressure should be around 64psi absolute at 4,000rpm and 79psi absolute at 5k rpm+, or 49psi and 64psi relative at sea level

Do you have any knowledge on how dangerous it is to have an extra 12-15psi at peak? It doesn't ever reach the threshhold to throw a code. Trying to gauge how critical it might be to get it replaced sooner than later.

Probably fine. A good amount of people run that extra pressure when they move to upgraded HPFP's.

99% oil pump, not sensor. Just got this done on mine, pressue was off, no codes or anything, not burning/leaking oil, just couldnt measure oil, approved for warranty work with iagnose by toyota. I had extended warranty on the one i have (got it used). Heared if its left alone it may cause engine failure at some point so i didnt take any chances with it.
2019 EU spec car.

Get it diagnosed and fixed, if needed. You dont have other options. "Probably" is not a solution.

On Monday I’ll be dropping my 2021 off at the dealer to get the oil pump replaced.

My ability to check the oil level has gone from frustratingly inconsistent to not working at all. My indie BMW shop scanned the car and it was reporting high oil pressure. 21k miles.

Hoping they will “diagnose” and fix the problem in time for one more track day this year.

I suppose I’ll ask them to do the updated software flash too, as it was last in for the brake recall.

Not tuned, no JB4 or other power mods. Just a catted downpipe.

Just wanted to update the thread with my experience.

Dealer replaced the oil pump (15100-WAA03). Went in on the 16th of Sep, was ready on 2 Oct.

Also had the comms module reflash done, so yay, new software throughout.

Dealer said mine was the first one they had to replace the oil pump on. They did note on the work order that “vehicle appears to be raced” and “has multiple modifications which may void warranty”. ?

Happy to have it back and fixed.

Just keeping the thread alive, dealership isn’t transparent but they’re still working on it.

Wish they’d let me know things sooner, they said if would be done last weekend and didn’t volunteer an ETA this time.

They said they gotta get the Torque to Yield bolts which I told them to get initially because the it was mentioned here that I would be required for the Subframe. This job shouldn’t have taken more than a week.

I don’t like Service Advisors.
Dropped my car off, Thursday, January 9th.

Sorry to hear. But there are other options, just sayin.

It might cost a little bit more, but for peace of mind and gain of opportunity cost, it was worth it (for me) to order the bolts from a Toyota parts dept I know & trust (hint, it’s not in my same town), & get the parts cheaper and quicker. Then I had an independent reputable mechanic that’s knowledgeable and honest, install them. I got to drive the car until the bolts arrived at my door. Then it was less than a day for the mechanic/shop owner to install them.

I got the car back last Thursday the 23rd.

It’s working as expected finally and I’m so glad to have my baby back.

guys short question: this is the fixed oil pump right?

https://www.leebmann24.com/de/de/product/bmw-oelpumpe-10082605?

and do i need order the whole set or just the pump? Any tipps?
This looks correct. Don’t forget to buy the Subframe Torque to Yield bolts, they’re single use. My dealership bought a lot of stuff to replace. Even new rubber grommets and such. I’ll see if I can find the paperwork.
