One of our SM-10 photoshoots was with 2 cars that still had stock suspension:

The bronze wheels are 19s while the Anthracite set are 18s

Wheels: APEX SM-10s in Satin Bronze
Front: 19x9.5" ET25 with 275/30-19
Rear: 19x11" ET40 with 305/30-19
Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Wheels: APEX SM-10s in Anthracite
Front: Front: 18x10" ET30 with 275/40-18
Rear: 18x11" ET40 with 295/35-18
Tires: Yokohama A052

We are planning to launch these with a group buy next week for those interested. More details to follow!

So 20" wheels bring up an interesting situation, where fender gap can be minimized while keeping the same ground clearance.

For example, take your 295/30R20 in the rear: that's about .5" taller than the stock 275/35R19. An even larger 295/35R20 would be 1.5" taller than the stock rear tire. This means that from the axle, you are actually taller by half the diameter difference of the tire/wheel, i.e. higher off the ground.

So in theory - for those of us who are looking to modify Supras but with crummy roads or steep driveways, you could go for a taller wheel+tire combo front and rear, and lower it by half the diameter difference. With a 295/35R20 in the rear, you could lower a Supra by .75" - but still have the same ground clearance as stock with noticeably less fender gap and better overall fitment and looks.

Lowered suspension but with "stock height".

Just got a question. How are you broke and afford a brand new Supra? Just curious... Poor people don’t own brand new Supras...

Wasn't going to post this but just for you.....

Went to my local Toyota dealer today and test drove both a 2.0 and 3.0 Supra. Have to say, the car is what they say it is. The 2.0 was actually more than I expected but must admit, the 3.0 is a MONSTER! I was actually more impressed with the ZF 8sp than the power. That is one helluva TRANNY!!!

To your point, I don't consider myself a "poor" person by no means but my "pennies" mean just as much to me as the next person. Dealer had a pretty good deal on a 3.0 that has been on the lot for almost 200 days but didn't want to give me anything decent on my Stinger. I understand, it is a KIA but it is my money that makes the payments and I would not budge on their "make believe" deal. The Sales manager try to play on my knowledge of the vehicle by trying to convince me that the powertrain was "Toyota" and not BMW......i just laughed at him but I think he didn't get it so I let him have his bull$hit. anyway, I will be back seeing that I am still good to go with my Stinger and the fact that "patience" is GOLD!!!! LOL
