Excited for all you guys getting the cars over the next few days! Just over a month to go for me, will be enviously looking at your pictures until then!
Congrats guys! I saw a note about the software being released, they are waiting on a laptop? Or cable?
I swore he said laptop, but may have meant cable. The tech actually said it was supposed to be in last Friday, and then again today. So who knows. They had my LE and also one premium just sitting in the bay waiting.
They are now telling me August 8th for ours, but im hoping sooner. Im Jealous of you guys that got theirs already.
I gotcha. Here is what I was referring to. All, New Supra Toyota ISTA software version 4.18.21.18585 is now available on TIS. IMPORTANT NOTES: · This new diagnostic application (ISTA) will be required to perform all diagnosis and reprogramming activities on the 2020 GR Supra. The ISTA application must be used with the Supra Diagnostic Cable, please do not attempt to use the Techstream ADVi VIM or any other diagnostic communication cable when diagnosing or reprogramming the 2020 GR Supra, or ECU damage could occur. · The ISTA application is available for download on TIS under the TISàDiagnosticsàScantool Tab. It supports fully guided diagnosis and contains all relevant EWD and troubleshooting procedures. Additionally, ISTA contains all reprogramming calibration data and must always be kept up to date. ISTA updates will be released on the TIS Diagnostics tab as a downloadable installation file. · ISTA can only be used with Windows 10 and with Techstream software version 14.10.034 or newer. ISTA utilizes Techstream software configurations and will not operate unless it is installed and registered. Please ensure you are using a PC with Windows 10 and have Techstream version 14.10.034 or newer installed. · It’s important to note, when performing any diagnostics on the new GR Supra that a power supply unit is connected to the vehicle to maintain the vehicle’s 12V battery system. A loss of 12V battery supply during an ECU reflash could result in ECU damage and ECU replacement maybe the only way to repair the vehicle. Always refer to the repair manual and/or latest Service Bulletins for the best practices when performing any service on the GR Supra.
Nothing really exciting, just backing it out of the spot to go PDI it, but those reverse lights look so cool.
Surprised they have not gotten it yet. Special Service Tools (SSTs) are a key element to provide our customers with swift and accurate repairs resulting in superior customer satisfaction. These SSTs are essential for improved service practices on current and future Toyota vehicles. This letter provides application and distribution information for new essential SSTs. The Supra Diagnostic Cable will be distributed in June 2019.
Oh, also, I screwed up already. When I sat in the car, I may have pushed some buttons to turn on the lights, and not realized you have to push the [OFF] button so it may have needed a jump start...
They did! They were surprised it arrived today, since they don't have the code to take it out of delivery mode.
