On the topic of diff fluid, when are you guys changing your fluid? Im just at 17k miles with 4 track days and a handful of autoX events.

Twice a year. I do 3-4 track days a month for last 3 years. My diff fluid is getting shiny when I change it. Have a spare diff on the shelf

Annually with one track day per month. Stock power.

What Brake Fluid and Differential Fluid is everyone using???
OEM diff fluid (only a couple of track days, so have the rest of the year to figure it out) and Castrol SRF brake fluid.

Happy Monday Y'all,

Has anyone run into this issue when out on the track? Last two track weekends this has plagued my 2020 3.0 auto where coming into hard braking for a hairpin corner the car will not downshift & even goes into limp mode. Throw in some elevation changes or geometry changes from a curb and it enhances it even more. Usually get's stuck in 5th where visually dash says your dropping to 4th/3rd and nothing happens or it will downshift into say 3rd but no power is available until you bump it to 4th or 2nd and it sorta resets.

Prior to the last two track weekends I had Toyota do a Trans Flush and it seems to be correlated to this so wondering if this is an over/under fill causing me pain. They can't recreate situation on the street so I'm going to try a drain/fill with the FCP Euro service kit myself and see if that resolves. Wasn't sure if anyone had run into this. Trans temps I kept an eye this last session and never got remotely too hot. It actually seem to act up only on the beginning or ending of a 20 minute sprint...

All my searching on here seem to yield folks having issues only when they add a big turbo or some hard launches on the drag strip/street pulls... I have a JB4 but run map 1/2 and have had it since I bought the car in 2019. Ran a couple stints back to stock with same issues too.

How much fuel?
It's seemed to be indifferent to fuel level but I'm not an expert for sure. Happened on the warm up session with a full tank all the way down to quarter/third tank before I fill up. Unless folks are seeing fuel starvation with a full tank under heavy cornering?

**Just reread some past discussions in here and it seems to be right handers causing the pain for folks (the not shifting issue seemed to happen on left & rights for me). However, when y'all are experiencing it does your trans let you shift through the gears? This sounds more like when I am in a gear and it's cutting the power until I bump into another gear. So maybe I've got some fuel starve* plus a wonky trans at the moment?

I have hit fuel starve in a right hander. It put the car in reduced power mode but still shifted fine. So doubt that is your issue.

Not a Corvette.
I actually experienced this yesterday for the first time while bedding in new rotors/pads. I never experienced this all last year at 21+ track days.

I would brake from 80 to 20 and it wouldn't let me shift down at all until I got off the brakes. 100% straight line, full gas tank. Was very odd.

Is there a certain fuel level where this becomes noticeable?
