Mine would do “odd” stuff when the JB4 was on. So now I turn it off. I’ve even gone to fumes on track and no issues. Not doubting anyone else. Just the case for me. Other stock engine Supras down here (no mods or tunes) drive all day long. If you can turn off the JB4 @BrettG782 , give that a try.

Edit: I see you got the same issue with it off. Was it both issues? Any other engine mods? I’d still keep it off on track until you can pinpoint it and get a “co-pilot“ to record any codes it’s throwing at the time.

It was off in the sense of Map 0. I think I'm going to do the trans drain/fill & pull JB4 off for the next track day and see how that works. Only mods were JB4 & Downpipe.

Hope you’re digging those Hawk DTC pads @kaj Saw your post on the daily Supra page. Congrats ? How are they doing for you?

I personally love em! A friend bought a bigger brake kit for the front and can run DTC 70s up there now, like @Todday1 . And apparently DTC 60s are available for the stock rear calipers. So he’s going to run a 70/60 split. I also prefer running split friction. Lots of options for this car ? Otherwise, my DTC 60/30 are doing just fine while only driving Oct - April, when we cool down a bit.

Few kids doing free heat testing for Toyota (still driving on track down here) ? I may try one weekend this summer and hope for rain ⛈. We typically have daily rain and it doesn’t last long. Cools things down and fun having a free skid pad to drive on afterwards ?. I used to do it all the time in my slip and slide S2K. I’d obviously have to be more careful in this Supra ?

(I’ve used up all my emojis. Happy Monday ✌? fellow best car in it’s class owners ?)

Pads are working great. SOW CCW has a braking zone that takes you from about 120-125mph down to a 2nd gear turn. I was outbraking my entire group. I finally have a feel for when ABS is about to kick in so have been avoiding that.
What kinda car does your buddy drive that they only make DTC 60 for his regular brakes? That's a bummer to have to wait. Heavy car or just really fast?

FYI for anyone curious as to the difference of running with and without nannies:
During my first session, I must have accidentally bumped the nanny button because it was intervening on every single exit on every single turn. I could not get any slip angle or power to the ground.
On my second session, I made sure I went through my pre-flight checklist properly and picked up four seconds on a 1.6mi course.
Holy CRAP these cars are slow with them on. ??

Not a Corvette.

Yea, with it all on, it's super frustrating. I still run with 1 click off and it rarely intervenes unless I get myself into some stupid situation.

I actually experienced this yesterday for the first time while bedding in new rotors/pads. I never experienced this all last year at 21+ track days.

I would brake from 80 to 20 and it wouldn't let me shift down at all until I got off the brakes. 100% straight line, full gas tank. Was very odd.
Did this come up at LRP on Friday?

Nope, not at all. I'm starting to wonder if it has something to do with the speed change and the bumpy road I was using at the time doing something weird with traction control.
That's a likely explanation. The ECU probably went into some sort of "Uh, I think we're going to crash" mode.

The picture I posted was with VSC still on. It lets me have plenty of slip and I feel only kicks in when I'm sideways enough that it's slowing me down anyway.
This is the picture. I'm holding the wheel at 9 and 3. Ambient temperature was 90° during this session, so I was drifting every single turn. It was SO fun.

I was thinking about trying to retro fit some race bread brackets and just creating my own composite or plywood splitter. Or I may just go with verus and wooden ramps if I give up. Ha.
Hit up the homie Outrun Racing on IG. He made his own with quick release brackets and serveral iterations until he got to where he likes it. If you're serious he may have some pointers for you. But also Verus makes an amazing product and that's what a lot of us run.

He has a 2021 Supra 3.0 Prem but bought a big brake kit for the front. My understanding is that the DTC 70s aren’t available for our front calipers. Maybe they are now? I’m running DTC 60s up front and they’ve been great ??

Not sure. I don't generate enough force for a 70 so honestly haven't looked, just assumed they make them. Hopefully vendors catch up soon. We need more options!
I can't wait for Raybestos.
