your math is wrong unless you count blind apex as blind cannot see the apex.

palmer is interesting but not challenging. beautiful in fall color for sure and that's what the video was for not the ripping out going so fast that you cannot appreciate the beautiful surrounding. I do this time to time to practice my vision. - most important skill for track driving.

as this discussion started, in my opinion, palmer is not a track you'd make trip for compare to watkins glen or Road Atlanta or Nurbergring or Laguna Seca.
Sebring is where so many car companies come to test it’s redonkulous. 4-5 different kinds of pavement, hot as balls, but no way around it - it’s not purdy. Nothing like those beautiful tracks up north in my stupid opinion. Always want what you currently don’t have ?‍♂ ?

Thank gawd all y’all are hitting the track and enjoying this mofo. Can’t say it enuf what a phenom track machine they put together ? for under $60k ?

What's everyone alignment spec sheet like ????
Negative camber will give you the biggest bang for the buck. Spec caster and toe so you can hone in on more specifics later. Personally, I want to go -3 to -3.5 up front and -2.5 in the rear next season in October. Most of the BMW track guys I’ve talked to are putting more negative camber up front. So that‘s my next big plan. Bryan probably has the closest setup I’d want. His build page is fantastic!

Does any one know the specs of Eibach Sway bars compared to OEM on stiffness ???
Much stiffer. I am sure there is a spec sheet out there.
as for alignments they are all over the place. depends on your level, how you like the car set up, Start pretty neutral with maybe a little front toe in. leave the tow out sets ups alone until you are comfortable.

Not a Corvette.
yes. it was. enjoying the scenery and looking for what other marks I can use. ;)
Weird, your YouTube description suggests otherwise… feel free to prove your actual lap times if you want to keep denying it, because this video is like 15 secs slower than beginners in Miatas.

Zero toe front, zero toe rear, As much camber in front as possible without struts hitting the inside of the fender wells. In regards to sway bars: front/rear = OEM. Struts = Stock.
All until I get to a point where I'm being beaten because I suspension needs an upgrade.

LOL - great way to emphasize camber!! The factory spec toe is very good for this car and great way to start. Later @3TMagnetMan can try some negative toe (toe out) up front to help with turn in and positive toe (toe in) on the back for more stability under heavy braking - also improve grip through apex. It doesn’t take a lot. Excessive toe will reduce straight line speeds and increase scrub & tire wear. It doesn’t take a lot when playing with toe. So minimal increment adjustments when doing so.

Wouldn’t Eibach sway bars softest settings be closest to OEM? I’d say go with the middle settings. Then he can set it and forget it for quite a while. Especially if with a group that has good instruction. Such as Chin. Just my silly opinion.

static alignment numbers don't matter too much if you're not tracking where you are in the camber/toe curve. e.g. if your front wheels toe out under compression, you don't need static toe to begin with for turn in.

In the winter we get a lot of the northern track peeps down here. I’d love to be a snow bird someday and go back and forth to the best tracks up there ?

I hear debates from those guys that either Road of America or Watkins Glenn are the must drive tracks. Y’all think Palmer is up there in that league? It looks fantastic from Bryan’s videos!
Palmer is not in the same league as The Glenn, Pitt, VIR, but it is very nice.
Also off topic, has anyone gone to Club Motorsports up in NH?

A friend and I just recently found out about it. Looks like a pretty sweet track and a decent amount of elevation change. Bet it's beautiful in Fall too. Motorsportreg seems to have a good number of events listed there with decent pricing as well.
I'm really smitten with this track. It's about ~3 hours from me. I'm hoping to do a day in early fall with SCDA. Looks absolutely beautiful.

Man. I need to take about a month off, and have an east-coast-ish track day vacation.
Make sure you come to Pitt Race! It's my home track. If you get a chance come spectate for the 24hrs of Lemons, it's a riot ?

Also look out for the PT cruiser with absurd aero, that's my team's car. It's an homage to the Pikes Peak Escudo ?

What is the most challenging track in the Northeast in your opinion?
there are many tracks I have not been to so cannot conclusively say which is most challenging. Also this is very subjective. Palmer and NYST is similar but Palmer is more interesting. NJMP thunderbolt is also interesting particularly the corner, Octopus is definitely "challenging" followed by turn 4/5 sequence. having said that, lightening turn 3/4 sequence also challenging. - this was the reason for me to change anti-roll bar. Then the bowl / light bulb is also controversial. Watkins Glen is hard but love the track. I go to track to have fun - not necessarily have a best lap time - with other drivers who loves driving their car. And I usually do and find "challenging corner or series of corners" in any tracks I go to.
