Had the update done on my 2023 at my dealership. Took two appointments and at least 6hrs of total time. First appointment, the tech struggled for three hours only to reach the conclusion that their computer needed updates…which would take 7hrs due to their slow Internet connection. If only the service procedure called out that OS updates etc. all be addressed prior to updating the vehicle. ?

They were able to successfully install the update during the second appointment. It’s unfortunate that having an appointment days or a week ahead of time does not prompt the dealership service department to be completely ready on their end despite knowing exactly what needs to be done ahead of time.

Spent time today recoding things in Bimmercode. Based on my short time driving afterward, anything that worked in Bimmercode before also works again after recoding. It was interesting that something like disabling Active Sound Design was still in place whereas everything else got wiped out by the update. One other observation is that the mileage and fuel remaining updates in the Supra Connect app seem to be more frequently updated.

Now that my two free maintenance appointments are done and after this experience, I’m glad I’ll be doing all the maintenance etc. going forward unless it’s warranty related. I like the Supra overall, but the dealers seem to struggle to support them.

Thanks! Is there a decoder for all the acronyms? I don't see suspension on there AVS?
not sure if the module is called AVS. maybe it’s “Magnetic x x”? can confirm this was updated though, car was noticeably more comfortable

As of 3/2023 i-level It is not possible to code memory or disable auto start stop. This spans across all BMWs in the US (other markets may differ).
It is pretty much due to EPA policies that think pre-maturely wearing out your starter is better for the environment, in our cars. You could contact the EPA.

Wait a sec, the dcm update breaks bimmercode’s ability to code out the auto start stop feature but does it also just straight up disable the auto start stop button so that you cannot disable it every time you start the car?

Just dropped my car off for this. Writer showed me the trouble tree for performing the recall/update on the DCM. Pretty much they're just supposed to make sure the iDrive software is up to date and then update the DCM afterward then send it.

Curious what else others got updated while the vehicle was in if it wasn't just the iDrive/DCM

In order to update iDrive it checks all the other modules and updates all outdated ones. Try to find out what version they give you.

I'll ask them to include it in the paperwork/tech notes

Awesome you got the latest!
Worst part of radio updates or flashes, takes me 10 minutes to remember how to favorite apple carplay again

Will update later after I have time after work to re-code a few things I had coded in before as well as far as auto start/stop shut off on vehicle start up and proximity lock/unlock etc
