Need to know oil filter cap issues with Remnant Intake Manifold... I tried to remove cap and it's very very difficult.

Depending on what oil filter cap you have, you may need to loosen the bolts that hold the IM to the head. You do not need to remove the manifold entirely, just loosen it so you can pull it upwards slightly. The unfortunate drawback of a large IM on this car.

All of a sudden people are realizing this? Oh right, they never communicated that.
I dont understand why there was an initial surge of love for Remnant products, followed by lots of issues being posted. Oil cap doesn't fit, people having to grind down parts to get them to fit, turbo oil issues, etc. I was really considering going all RP for a while, now... not sure about that.

Is there an aftermarket cap thats smaller and fits better with these? Im not doing the RP manifold but do need to do a manifold this year.

I remember people using a Kia stinger oil filter cap for their V1 EOS or CSF manifolds

RK Autowerks manifold. No issue removing the oil filter.

I have the same manifold. I had issues with removing the oil cap and filter. I ended up removing the cap/filter, and gently filing down the underside/side of the intake manifold where it was hitting. Took some time and a lot of in and out. I also sanded down the plastic oil cap also to help remedy the issue. It worked but I hated to modify this IM or cap to get it to fit.

Did you have to loosen the manifold to do this? Or did you just do it with it all still on the car?

Would a different oil filter cap eliminate having to loosen the manifold? If so which one?

No sir. I didn’t have to loosen the manifold. There is enough clearance to do it now.
