Replacement keys no longer available through Toyota

When I recently went to a nearby Costco (Southern CA), there were two guys inside of the entry who replace car keys/fobs. It might be worth checking them out. There are working with Costco.

I have also seen this service at Costcos in Texas, as per OP's location. It looked liked they have a good selection of key FOBs from first glance. I don't even know if you need a membership, as they had a work van in the parking lot, stacked with all types of FOBs.

Ah, that's a bit different scenario from what I experienced where you had to walk in the store to start a discussion. I should see what the cost would be to get a new fob for my Miata. The locksmith guys who sold me the one I have charged $500 and the fob they gave me did not have the trunk release button. I needed the fob, urgently, as the other one disappeared.
It seems that the newer the vehicle and the more complicated its electronics are, the more expensive the replacement fob.

I saw them at my local Costco a month or so ago. I did ask them if they could do keys for a Supra, and as I expected, they said no.

I asked at my local Toyota dealership here in SoCal for a quote for a key and they didn’t mention them being unavailable, pricey though.
