OK so I just went through this and I’m going to spell it out clearly for anyone having the same problem.
If you are unsuccessful in clearing your brake reset using the dash and you have verified that your brake wear sensor is good i.e. you have replaced it if it wore down with your break pads. Then you must use BimmerLink not BimmerCode to reset or go to your dealer.
The brake wear sensor is like a squeak tab. The difference is it’s just a piece of plastic with a wire in it. once the plastic wears down letting the wire be broken the car knows your pads are low. Since the wire is broken you must replace the wear sensor then reset.

The problem comes when you reach the time to do the service but not the miles and then it says “reset impossible.” Then it gets tricky. lol
Still struggling to reset that god damn brake pad warning annoying as fuck. Never worked.
