Hey, just installed these mirrors myself and have to say I love them and this thread was good for me to pull the trigger. However, during install I had broken one of the OEM metal heads that connect to those two small pins on the right side mirror. Those things were so difficult to take out.

It was mentioned "two small ones for the defrost" in a previous comment and I was wondering if these were being referred to for the defrosters?

I'm really just worried about losing my blind spot indicators, but if they're for defrosters, then whatevs. Thanks in advance for any confirmation and definitely would never go back to OEM after these mirrors.

Not to worry. Those are for defroster. Your blindspot is the white clip on the bottom for connectivity.

I have these mirrors - they are fantastic. One question, ever since I installed when I go into reverse my passenger mirror no longer tilts down so that I can better see parking line/curb. Is this just installer error or is there something with the connections that does not allow for this? I'm not sure why that feature would no longer work so I'm assuming I messed something up when installing and would like to get this working again.

Did they fix the amber lighting when the sun hits? Thanks!
I ordered a replacement driver side few weeks ago (broken tab, which btw, very fragile). the new ones still appear orange when reflecting, but light up red. can't mistake them in the sun anymore. of course, it's a dice roll if you order from a us vendor which version they'll have.

this also means i have a driver side that lights up red and a passenger side that lights up orange. ?

Hey Tanner,
Could you please confirm if the switch of the mirror adjustment panel is tilt to the left side (Driver Side) when you are in reverse?

And if you do, but the passenger side is still not activated, please remove the blue mirror and check if the factory wire somehow blocks the motor in the mirror base and make it not able to tilt the mirrors.

Hope this helps to fix the issue you're having!

I confirmed that I'm just an idiot and needed to slide the button - must of slid it back when I installed and then never put 1:1 together. Works great. Highly recommend these to anyone who is reading.

My left mirror stopped working after washing the car including the driver controls. Would replacing the mirror with this fix everything?

3 days ago! I noticed the issue when I went out and tried to roll down my window to ask a concierge to let me into a parking area.

Thank you - you're giving me hope.

I used a hair dryer, electrical contact cleaner and took everything apart and put it all back together last night. Cross-finger

My right mirrors' coating failed. It lines up perfectly with the wiring behind the mirror. Theory is the wiring warmed up the mirrors and caused the coating to fail.
