Relax lil guy, go ride your bicycleThe only violation I see here is the amount of useless threads you've made on this forum.
I just got a small wiper that I swap onto the passenger side wiper arm if I'm going to do a long trip or expect to be driving in the rain. It's like a 12 or 13" wiper.Arghhhh... One thing which I hadn't thought of is the wipers, there's no way to mount two pads on the windscreen without making contact. Guess all thhree pads will need to be on the roof, or perhaps turn it round, which I don't think is recommended. The windscreen is so bloody small.
Good idea. 1" would do it for me I think. I'll put some tape down and test.I just got a small wiper that I swap onto the passenger side wiper arm if I'm going to do a long trip or expect to be driving in the rain. It's like a 12 or 13" wiper.
They are very stable, I wouldn't hesitate to put two bikes on them. How stable are the monkey bars? I've always thought about getting them so I can go somewhere with multiple bikes.
Having two pads on the windshield will make it much more stable since our roof has a good amount of flex in it. My first time ever using the rack I had 3 pads on the roof and did not like how much I could see the bike wobbling.Took a brave pill and did a 50 mile round trip to biking today. Must admit, I did stop every 5 miles or so to check it, but no issues. Solid setup. Ended up putting the three pads on the roof.
Attaching the bike to the platform before putting it on the car is much easier and safer.
It just needs to earn my trust before I can relax!![]()
I mounded it right at the front, so no flex there, guess it's part of the roll over structure. Further back then yeah probably.Having two pads on the windshield will make it much more stable since our roof has a good amount of flex in it. Also I've done close to 120mph numerous times with my bike on the car ??. Trust it, it's not going anywhere
Yeah I do have to push down on the rear pad and bend the talon a bit but it's plastic so there's plenty of flex.I mounded it right at the front, so no flex there, guess it's part of the roll over structure. Further back then yeah probably.
My other worry about the windscreen (other than not being able to use my wiper blades) is the change of angle is much great between the front and rear pads from windscreen to roof. really need to get that rear pad bent down.
With that said, if I can find a shorter wiper blade then I'll try that way again. Would be nice to see the pads and also less chance of paint damage.
Haha, good to know!!![]()
It should have come with an orange Velcro strap to strap your crank to the chain stayI took my seasucker up on a 400 mile trip the first time I "really" used it and yeah I stopped and checked it a couple times earlier in the trip but it was holding well. only thing I learned from that was to put a bungie over the frame on each pedal so they don't rotate backward at all. Almost had one hit my roof.
Yeah mind did. Just have to remember to use it. I put it on my steering wheel yesterday when I arrived at my destination, so couldn't drive off without putting it on.It should have come with an orange Velcro strap to strap your crank to the chain stay
