Hi everyone and greetings from Germany.
I’m the new guy here and wanna introduce my recently purchased Supra.
It’s a 2022, 3.0, automatic, with only 21000 km on it.
The previous owner only put on a carbonfiber ducktail, a pair of extended red aluminium shift paddles, H&R lowering springs and the red painted OEM wheels.
Which i know, looks awefull and clashes with the blue paint…
I always was interested in the MKV since it’s release and i have been lurking / reading along here for some years already.
The information and knowledge people provide here is just great.
On that note, you will NEVER see me asking what oil i need for my Supra ;-)
Now the plan with the Supra is to make it into a nice handling car for the twisty backroads here, keeping it street legal / TÜV approved, while also being track capable (Nordschleife Touristenfahrten).
Perfomance is always the main focus for all the upcoming mods, although the build will pale in comparison to other ones, from different countries, where the regulations are more lax…
Since we are all car people here you might be interested about my previous cars.
My very first car was a 1998 Toyota Starlet.
1,3 liter and 75HP
Light and very nimble car.
Basically ignited the joy of driving in me.
After 2 year i got rid of the Starlet and got an 2004 Mercedes C-Class Sportcoupe
1,8 liter supercharged 143HP
Was all about Mercedes back then, especially AMGs.
Really wanted an SLK but those where out of my budget.
Had the Merc for 12 years, powertrain is very reliable, but front suspension arms are the biggest weakpoint. almost every year a bushing failed.
During the time i had the Merc, i got a second car.
My first weekend / fun car.
A 1998 Nissan Skyline GTT, which the Supra now replaced.
I had the Sklyne for 8 years. put a lot of money and time into it.
But it’s super hard to modify an import car in Germany and keep it TÜV approved, coupled with some other factors, which led me to sell it this year.
In the end the Skyline had 414HP and 560ish NM of torque.
Fourth car, my current daily, since i had to get rid of the Merc.
2018 Suzuki Swift Sport
Mods: H&R lowering springs + clear LED tail lights
1,4 liter 140HP with 230NM of torque.
Not much to say, since i only had it for 1 year.
That’s it.
Hoping for a good time here.
