Not a great day, I put the story in reddit:

Here are the pics:

All the bags were deployed, cracked windshield and probably the frame is bent, but... what do you think?

I'll know for sure but I would like to know what do you think. Seems to me is totaled, but you never know.

Thanks!

Sorry for your loss mate. Hope no one was hurt.

You will find a better car for sure.

A buddy of mine was similarly on drag radials and driving in a storm. He hydroplaned and managed to correct but it put him in the path of a truck that couldn't stop fast enough.

Even less damage than yours but his insurance pretty much ghosted him for two months before totaling the car.

Looks like a total, get an AWD with DWS06+ or newer next time.. maybe it will help. GL.

Most likely totaled. If those are R888, they lose grip shockingly quick in the wet. I'd only use them on a wet road in an emergency to limp home at reduced speed.

Was it raining or just moist ground like in the photos?

If just moist, I think the biggest issue here where that the tires were cold and you gave it too much throttle.

I hated my R888r when it was dry out. I would never use them in the rain lol

OP, unfortunately, this looks like a total loss but glad you are ok. Make sure insurance doesn't screw you and find good comparables to increase their offer.

OP understands the situation and how he got there, so kudos to him for not playing victim.

Sorry bud, but thats donezo. Glad to have read you came out relatively unscathed physically. Supras can be replaced.

Sorry this happened, glad you are ok and nobody else was hurt (well minus your pride)

Don't beat yourself up over it, when I was in my 20's I was hot dogging my GTO while on snow tires and car got sideways coming off the expressway and the car kissed the guardrail.

It was a total, but the airbags never went off :)
