That isn't the A91 CF lip, nor the sideskirts, nor the rear spoiler. The seats are solid red, which is not the case with the A91 CF.
Fair. Both are ugly. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The fact that this man did zero research on the car and then proceeds to call the news so he can cry on camera. Holy fuck that was month's worth of cringe

Edit: cringe is worse after reading the video's comments

Rome would not have fallen if it had this thread's level of gatekeeping.

I feel for this dude. He got hosed. Not everyone is a car enthusiast or knows what to look for, and just wants a cool car.

Well, no big deal but let’s start with the front license plate being held with zip ties, and the front suspension looks stock height and the rear slammed.

As a car salesman it’s not my job to make any decisions for you. I show you the car, I get you excited, I show you how to buy it and you buy it. I would never buy a USED car W/O doing research on it…

I agree. Everyone's being a bit ruthless here but I don't want to get confrontational. Yes, it's a hard lesson learned for the kid, and I would've walked away if denied a test drive too. I also honestly question whether he can truly afford this car but hey, you only live once. I still sympathize, and the dealership obviously took advantage of him. Research/test drive or not, they screwed him over. They sold him a car with illegal mods and that's not okay.

I saw this story pop up in my newsfeed and knew it would be posted here.

I remember back when I was young and dumb in high school and looking at sports cars at shady dealerships. Everything looks so cool on the lot and it is very easy for a young, stupid guy to get totally hoodwinked. Admittedly when I was shopping it was the pre-internet era, so my ability to "research" my possible purchases was more or less me looking at Chilton's guides at the library and talking to friends who "knew a little about cars". But I was lucky to have a grandpa who refused to let me buy anything without him looking at it first... and that old man saved me mountains of problems. And the absolutely stupid thing was at the time young dumb me was angry at HIM for finding faults with the cars I liked... I was so fixated on getting a fast car that I was totally blind to the problems they had.

So on one hand I can identify with this guy, and it is obvious he had no one looking out for him. But at the same time this is the modern era... the internet gives us instant access to more information than we can process in one sitting. Probably because my grandpa had my back I now fervently research literally everything. I practically can't buy dish soap now without reading about it. I love going into a car dealership knowing more about the car I'm looking at than the guy trying to sell it to me. But I know I'm like this because grandpa taught me to be this way.
