I'm considering going for a Stage 1 tune, looking for some advice on which platform might be best to go with.

The only engine mods I have are the Injen charge pipe and air intake. I'm not planning to fit a decat or anything, and won't be going Stage 2 or 3 in the future.

My car is a 2020 and has had the recall done, so I'm assuming the ECU is now locked and will need unlocked for some tuning options.

I guess the main options are bm3, MHD, EcuTek, JB4, custom tune.

Any ones I'm missing?

What do you think would be the best bang for my buck?

Is recalls causing locked ecus a thing?
on 2020s it just locks the ECU and you need to bench unlock it but can still tune it

Your option now is the JB4 custom tune

unless you plan to pay to bench unlock your ECU, then I would suggest a good custom tune with ecutek

If you don’t want to spend that amount for the ECUtek route, I then would suggest BM3 as you can sell your license down the road when you part out

Right so its not like fully locked like a post jun 2020 one is?
correct, the post jun 2020 requires a clone ECU. the older ones just a bench unlock

ECU will need to be unlocked. We'd be happy to do it for you. We're the largest MKV tuner in the world also. We personally prefer Ecutek as its the superior tuning solution.

I sent you a PM to go over some options!
