Supra GT4 front end weight savings and air management?

I would buy it if I knew I didn't have to drill extra holes for where the 45th wing is.

maybe you can buy a used trunk and keep yours so you can back OEM anytime later? ?

GT4 uses the front middle air inlet to feed the cooling stack (not for induction air like some people think). It also uses larger ducting to the side radiators.

Interesting! Do you have the same air inlet? I saw you did the side radiators, if I remember correctly.

I’m running the GT4 bumper inlet/duct & hood vent. I have the bumper inlet/duct scanned, gonna run some test to see which material/process is best to get them made.

So I leafed through the 25 pages of search results on the forum if you look up Supra GT4 looking for some info but couldn’t find it so if this is not a new topic I apologize.

I am looking for some detailed information about the Supra GT4… specifically the differences between GT4 and stock with respect to weight savings and air management/ductwork at the front of the car. Not the aero, but the ducting.

Has anyone done the Supra GT4 front bumper? If so did you also use the GT4 front ductwork? Aside from the obvious difference of the extra vent at the high pressure zone in the front of the car, what’s the difference in the ductwork? Materials? Weight? Air routing?

what else can be done to save sprung weight at the front of the car? Lightweight replacements for existing parts, omissions, etc?

So I put some of that 51gt3 site’s items in my cart… It says “preorder” and doesn’t charge for it making me think that stuff isn’t actually available right now yet. I was also looking at GT4 brakes too but all the gt4 parts are huge $. I didn’t actually finish the order because I had like a million dollars worth of shit in my cart but something is going on there.

I have thought about doing that. But I would need to paint it and that's just even more money on something that isn't necessary ?

I bet we all buy a GT4 if we could ? However, you‘ve got a great point. There’s a lot of parts on that car we’d love to get our hands on, if…. If they’d did that.

Not in terms of the mounting position. The Verus swan neck is too side mounted which I really dislike. The Adro tall wing which I have looks quite similarly mounted.

The Verus wing itself does look similar to a GT4 wing.

that’s why I prefer GT4 Evo wing over them because of the brackets location and the size of the brackets is perfect.

part no. 7 for example, in the wing photo it shows ‘ x2 ‘. So does that mean it comes a pair or do I need to put two in cart?

I’ve had some luck talking back and forth with the actual gazoo folks about gt4. Basically I asked them about how to buy one. Seemed like they were willing to sell me one if I wanted but said I should wait for the Evo2. Anyway, maybe we can email them and see if we can just buy gt4 parts from them?
