Unless you are on Ding level talent and really have the car set up it doesn’t makes sense to search for weight savings.

Most of us are going to drop the biggest chunks of time with driver skill upgrades. Not 70lbs due to a battery and cf seats.

Upgrade brakes for sure. But otherwise just work on smooth and consistent

What you guys said is all really good points and definitely makes sense.
As a sum up:
In general, reducing weight will change the weight distribution, which in turns affects handling balance. However, you can tune the vehicle's suspension to deal with a car with lighter weight but more drastic weight distribution, but you cannot tune away 600 lbs of mass. Therefore I think it's almost always preferred to go for light weight at the cost of overall weight distribution than maintain that distribution and be heavier.

So cool to see everyone getting more and more into tracking these things. It's just the best.

Reviving this since I have been on this endeavor for a bit, anyone make some progress to share?

My car is fully caged and weights about 3200lbs with interior gone

Following is list of very rough estimates for savings I have planned to get closer to under 3000lbs

Battery = ~40lbs
Door replacements = ~80lbs
Exhaust = ~20-40lbs
Cut bunch of holes everywhere = ~1lbs+
CF trunk w/lexan - delete all glass = ~10+lbs
Wiring no longer required = ???lbs
Lightweight body aero = ???lbs

I weighed my recently acquired 2023 A91 MT with a completely full tank of gas today. Car is 100% stock since I picked it up just a couple days ago.

This is great.. and definitely on the lighter side according to spec sheets. What options/accessories are included in the measurement?

I will measure mine soon and get back you.
